About this calculator
The five-number summary is minimum, Q1, median, Q3 and maximum. IQR = Q3 − Q1. Box-plot whiskers extend to the most extreme points within 1.5 × IQR of the box; anything beyond is an outlier. Two quartile methods are shown: linear interpolation (Excel QUARTILE.INC) and the median-of-halves (Tukey) method.
